The Sling Shot Man
Rufus Hussey, also known as “the slingshot man,” or as he would say “the beanshooter man.” No matter what you call him, Rufus was without a doubt a top marksman and master slingshot maker. He even appeared on the Johny Carson show. Rufus passed away in 1994.

Homemade Slingshots
Some people still make old fashioned homemade style slingshots, like the famous Rufus Hussey.
Rufus Hussey was known as “the bean shooter man” because of his expert marksmanship. Rufus could hit a June-bug off a leaf from a considerable distance.
He started making and shooting slingshot when he was a kid growing up during the great depression out of necessity, and later went on to make them for fun. Rufus passed away back in 1994 after more than 50 years of slingshot mastership.
Still other people who make wrist rockets may carve beautifully engravings in the stocks and will also use exotic woods. They can become quite fancy.
Today’s modern wrist rocket manufactures use the very best rubber and leather pouches making these more than just toys, but rather highly tuned weapons that are fun to own and shoot.

Thats Badass, I wish I can do that.
To bad he has that history though, But he still is a happy man, i wish most people were like that.
That rules He used a sling shot and bro used the shotgun, Better than the A-Team,God i will never put a gun to his face. Man he is the best, Know one else i know can do that with a sling shot. He is the slingshot MASTER!!!!!!!!
This looks really interesting. It is neat to see weapons that are original, crafty and take skill. I am learning something new other then guns. I like that!
What is considered the best sling shot for the money when a person is looking to purchase one? Thanks!
