Although we have plenty of slingshots for sale here, we wanted to share this fun video with you. Bill Hays (“MasterBillHays” on YouTube) posted this video to show us how he proof tests his custom slingshots.

“When they’re about 95% finished,” he wrote, “I band them up and check out their accuracy… If they are accurate then they get finished and are sent off… if they don’t pass the test then they are worked on until they can pass… and if they still can’t pass then they’re thrown away.”

That’s impressive, but is it all talk? The title of his video is “SEAL Sniper proof testing, card splitting from 45 feet slingshot shooting,” and we wanted to see if he really could accomplish that. We here at your Number One Slingshot Stop were skeptical, so we watched Bill’s entire video.

“I’ll give it ten shots,” he says of a newly minted slingshot. “If it hits the card within ten shots it passes.” By golly, Bill did it in under ten shots. To make this even more impressive, you’ll see and hear a stiff breeze that he needs to calculate into his aiming and shooting.
