What kind of wine goes with fire-roasted squirrel? Many of you buy slingshots for target shooting, but a lot of you use your slingshots for hunting. Squirrels are one of the most popular game animals for you slingshot hunters, and we’re going to sample some fire-roasted squirrel right here.

Former Navy SEAL Madison Parker of Primitive Supply bagged some squirrels in the woods and shows us how to prepare them “with no utensils or pots/pans.” He assures us that squirrel is “quite tasty this way!”

Madison uses a Native American method of preparation and cooking. There is virtually no waste of meat with this method. His cooking tutorial is well done (no pun intended). We watch, step by step, as he preps the gutted squirrel for the fire, tying it to prevent it from drying out too much. Let’s watch this tasty video, then we’ll open the wine…
